Jiříkov (Bruntál District) : ウィキペディア英語版
Jiříkov (Bruntál District)

Jiříkov (ドイツ語:Girsig) is a village and municipality in Bruntál District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. The cadastral territory covers an area of 35.28 km² and as of 2006 it had a population of 304.
==History==
The first known written mention of the village is from the year 1264. Jiříkov was probably settled as part of the colonization activities of the Olomouc Bishop Bruno of Schauenburg.
In 1494 the village belonged to the Sovinec estate.
Of the original row of buildings, only a few houses remained after World War II. Today this "Old Town" consists mostly of new buildings.
